Guide--Ron Umbarger: I have been hunting ducks, geese, and big game since I was a child. I grew up in S/E Michigan and I have hunted the woods, fields, marshes and open waters of this state under the direction of my father, grandfather and great-grandfather. I have a passion for hunting waterfowl and I have hunted them in pit-blinds, open field blinds, corn fields, marsh boats, big water blinds and layout boats. I have utilized my knowledge and experience to begin this guide service for Snow Goose hunting throughout the mid-western states. I have hunted these geese with my friend and co-owner for several years. We have continued to develop our techniques, calls, decoys and field locations until we developed (we believe) the best set up for our clients on any given day. I have hunted waterfowl in 5 different states and 2 different countries. I expect that my skills, knowledge and experience will provide you with an enjoyable hunt and add to your hunting knowledge.
Guide--Dave Matheny: Hunting has always been a passion of mine. Growing up in a country setting, I practically grew up in the fields and woods spending many hours hunting and fishing. Nothing fancy, just the basics. My dad taught me a lot about the outdoors and instilled in me deep respect for wildlife and conservation. Several years ago I had the opportunity to try my hand at the spring snow goose conservation order hunt in Iowa. I fell in love with hunting snow geese and have not missed a spring hunt since. We have managed to follow the migration north and get in a few extra hunts during the spring season. We've hunted the snows in Missouri, Iowa, South Dakota and Canada. Whether you are a seasoned goose hunter or just want to give it a try, we will make every attempt to get you into the geese.
